This week, I have been mostly making hot water bot

This week, I have been mostly making hot water bottle covers for @foxhillmanor
All made using fabric offcuts from the sofa industry. These guys are in velvet and wool.

I'm not normally one to look backwards, but this 2016 trend was interesting. Work wise not much has changed, but we've moved house since to Dorset and of course we now have Freddie dog! I was working out of our spare bedroom, dreaming of one day having my own studio. When we moved to the house we are in now, one of the first things we decided, was where the studio would go!
* we'd been living in Burford in The Cotswolds for about a year and loved going for walks. It was only a matter of time before we got a dog! This is the cracking view at the of Broadway.
* my sister still helps me with cutting out during busy periods
* after growing my hair long, it's hilarious I've gone back to the same bob hairstyle
* this was the start of the owls for a local hotel. 10 years on, I've made nearly 5000!
* I was working with a local coffee company and upcycling their coffee sacks
* I was starting to share upcycling projects to try at home. This one was modelled by my niece, she's 11 now!
* I was working part time in a local gift shop. I thought my signs were hilarious
*the coffee sack recycling continued at Christmas
* and my tea cosies were featured in Country Living magazine

Always satisfying to open a shrink wrapped box of recycled stuffing! Listen for the ooof!!
This will be used to stuff doorstops, door hangings and even Christmas decorations. It's all left over stuffing from the toy industry. This is 5kg stuffed into a box....I probably get through about 30kg a year!

The first batch of owls for 2026!
These little ones are off to @dormyhouse this week. All handmade by me and made from recycled fabrics. They are given to children who stay at the hotel as a momento to take home.
